This is a perfect replacement to our bird bath saucer. Our previous concrete saucer was broken during our winter storm. This year we know to bring in the bird baths and the replacement saucer we purchased will be easy to transfer to storage this upcoming winter.
With its black interior, the water heats up a lot in direct sunshine. I combatted that by lining the bowl with just enough river rock to cover the black. If it was a little deeper it would be a bonus.
Like it alot. Very big bowl small bottom. Doesn't quite fit pedestal, but it works.
First of all, the color is not at all like the photo. The "red" rim is actually terra cotta colored, but looks great anyway. Not sure about the quality at this time, because it seems to be leaking water out somehow. It is VERY light weight, so I put a rock in the middle to help hold it down. All in all I love the way it looks though.
The water froze in it. It fell & broke. I used gorilla glue & looks like it will last a while longer.
