Didn't like this as much as I wanted to. So it's great for twisting around the stakes for my tomatoes and beans and cucumbers. But when you cut it and then twist the next piece, the sharp metal end sticks out a little too far and pokes your fingers. Great idea. I just wasn't as happy as I wanted to be.
These are super handy and 3x better than the pipe cleaners I was using from the dollar store. This product costs more but it will not strangle your plant in the same way as a pipe cleaner (itís a colorful fuzzy wire strand). Iíve been using them on my cannabis plants for branch repairs and even some other dui things around my grow space. Works just fine for low stress training (lst) which is why I bought these. Complaints about wire popping through are worth noting- I would let kids use this stuff. Make sure to not yank on the rubber coating or you will expose the wire underneath more which could end up poking you. Also- donít cut it on an angle, cut it so the end is flat!
These ties are good or staking trees or climbing plants. I have used them so far on a fiddle leaf fig and a monstera. They are soft enough and donít cut into the stems and its easy to portion the length you need with scissors. They do slide off the wire if you tug hard enough which is the only reason Iím giving 4 stars but thatís probably something that canít be helped. They still work great for tying up plants.
This is great for tying up smaller lighter branches. The diameter is narrow compared to some other products so I would not recommend it for large heavy Tomatoes or heavy branches (unless you are careful about how you wrap it). I bet if I had read the description I would have known this --- although it might be in cm and I think in inches. It has a nice rubber coating and the wire is strong. Some brands have a foam cover and I prefer the rubber as it is more durable. The color is a lighter green compared to my old roll. Overall a good product and the price was right.
I love this product! I garden for private clients 5 days/week, and it is the fastest, most effective product I've come across. It is also the perfect color, much more subtle that the other, thicker green soft wire tie products I've purchased. I use it for any landscape plant I need to stake and tie, as well as in the veggie garden, with tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, etc. I noticed the reviews that say the outer does not stick to the inner....hmmm. The thicker products do stay together better, but with a good pair of scissors, I have no problem with the way this slim soft tie works. My only wish is that they sold it in a larger roll, more product and in a rounded fashion, as this product wrapped around a flat inner leaves regular bends in the wire. That's how picky I am, I want it to be as discreet and natural looking as possible in the landscape. The thicker product is sold in a large roll, which is great and much more economical, but that other green color jumps out, just doesn't blend in. I use a LOT of this product, as I garden 5 days/week. It would be great to buy in more of a bulk setup. BTW, the thicker products are a bit better for heavy duty tying.
