Perfect pale green bags with draw string. They are so easy to put on and the draw string fits securely, avoiding wind interference. Great value.
These bags - medium and large - are an excellent deterrent to deer in winter, particularly during our heavy snows when they begin to graze on small trees and shrubs. The mid-sized and large bags work well on everything from euonymus to arborvitae. We've also used them on a couple of roses that died back each year, and began the new year with a much larger and healthier bush. We do have quite a bit of wind, and after some experimentation came up with a technique that helps keep the bag in place. Position the bag so that the drawstring is facing into the wind. Draw it tight, then put a heavy rock on it, pull the extra string over the rock and place another on it so that it's secure. Fold over any slack in the bag onto the side of the tree or shrub protected from the wind, and fasten it with clothes pins. Otherwise, you might be going out all winter to reposition and re-tighten the bag.
Kind of thin. Put them on a bunch of plants today for first time today. I doubt it freezes tomorrow night but we will see.
Other than some confusion about how many I was going to get in one package (itís different depending on the size) this product was exactly what I needed. Came quickly and was easy to use. We were growing tomatoes and had a really late start due to a few reasons (one big one was a broken tiller, and weather). As first frost stated to get close I was dreading what we had done in the past which was blankets and rocks. Works well for cucumbers and pumpkins but much more tedious for tomatoes and I only had so many blankets I was willing to use outside! Medium worked good for small tomato plants and peppers. Large worked for most tomato plants.
I'm using these through a mild winter in Georgia without snow. Allowing my broccoli and cabbage to breathe and covering on colder days in the 30s. The bags are holding up well with no rips or tears. The drawstrings have worked well without breaking. I would buy again in the future.
