I like a man-sized fork when I eat steak. This is it. You can really get a good sized chunk for that extra meaty flavor. Also works great for gardening I guess. The handle is comfortable, good quality hardwood. The handle tang is MIG welded to the forks. As a welder, I can say the weld quality is excellent. So far this has not bent, and looking at the quality, it will probably last a loooong time. It is made in Holland.
This is a great gardening tool. I bought it specifically to dig out the monster weed that I get in my asparagus. Because it is a fork it did not cut my roots and I was able to get deep into the ground. It is really sturdy and built well. I have really put a lot of pressure against the tool tilting it to turn over the ground and have had no problem in bending, it did not bend at all! I would buy this tool for a friend and recommend it to anyone that likes well made tools.
This is much better than a trowel when digging a hole for planting. Loosens up the soil then the trowel can do the lifting. When transplanting the tines loosen the soil around roots, therefore lessening damage to the plant. Using one tine at an angle, it is great to loosen up stubborn weeds.
You know, when my husband originally ordered this product I was a little annoyed he spent $40 on a little garden fork. I WAS SO WRONG. We had a ton of beds to dig out in the front of our house and this little guy ripped through some of the gnarliest roots Iíve ever seen! Many of our other tools broke trying to dig out the beds but this tool is super sharp and strong. Absolutely worth the price!
Still to be fully tested in practice, but should be fine
