Very useful tool that can handle our heavy clay soil. Only thing I would change is to make the fork about 1/2î wider and taper the thickness to have sharper end. I will sharpen it a little on my grinding wheel.
Considering this basic gardening tool was $26, I was expecting a better design at the fork. I would have preferred wider and sharper tines for better leverage when extracting the weed. The tines are fairly narrow and blunt. Otherwise the tool is well made and a nice length.
Good basic tool. You have to put your own edge on the "Y" part if you want it, but it will last a good long time. I was tired of tools that bent and became useless for actual weeding.
Great garden tool, enables the gardener to go deep into the soil and lift the weed out from its roots. Very sturdy, practical and easy to hold.
This tool works wonderfully weeding around my iris. The dull tip dose not cut root but helps loosen the dirt so one can pull weed out of the ground. Although 5 time more expensive than the Chinese made tool the feel in my hand tells me it was worth the extra money! I will be buying more DeWit tools.
