The Haxnicks Fruit Tree Covers feature a 1mm (0.04") mesh that's optimal for allowing moisture and sunlight to reach the trees while providing protection against severe weather like heavy rain and hail. The mesh is also designed to prevent wildlife entanglement. Its user-friendly "Lift Over" design includes a sealable opening, and the netting color may vary. These covers safeguard fruits from various pests, including cherry worms, aphids, fruit flies, wasps, and birds, as well as from frost, without the need for chemical treatments. They are ideal for use in early spring to shield blossoms, which can be removed for pollination, and again in summer and fall to protect the fruit. Suitable for a variety of trees including Cherry, Peach, Nectarine, Apricot, Apple, and Pear, the product measures 6.6"D x 6.6"H and weighs 5lbs.

The birds would steal my cherries every year, while the squirrels would feast on the hazel tree. However, this worked perfectly and kept them deterred! It wasn't easy to put up though, it was quite fiddly to get it up and over the tree (despite the video making it look really simple!). But, it was completely worth it. It has saved my garden and will hopefully last for years to come. I'd most definitely recommend this.
Not too difficult to get over the tree but you have to make sure you close it tightly at the bottom so no wasps can get in. Hoping for a good crop of apples this year that haven't been bitten by birds or wasps
I am a master gardener who does not want to get into the endless cycle of spraying chemicals on my fruit trees, but without protection insects, bacterial blights (from insects), birds, raccoons, etc. get all of my young fruit every year and shred the leaves. The solution is this netting put on ASAP after the fruit buds after the flowers have bloomed. This is exactly what I needed for my poor insect-harassed fruit trees in my garden. Hopefully got it on early enough this year to actually get the fruit this year - no critter thieves and no insects. The net does take two people to put it on the tree - even a five foot tree needs two people to raise the netting over the top branches. The long Velcro fastener will let me reach in and pick fruit without removing the netting. You do need to tie the bottom drawstring tightly at the base to keep squirrels etc. from climbing into the netting so check that regularly. The shipments for my netting got separated but the seller responded immediately and explained what happened. Such a nice response when so many sellers donít have a way to communicate with you. Buy these and save hundreds of dollars on pesticides and insecticides.
We could not understand the instructions at all, even after watching a video. The concept is simple, but how to execute it is not clear. Nevertheless, we got the bags over some small cherry trees. The fabric seems strong, the velcro good, and the overall construction appears quality. I would expect several seasons if handled with care.
I am excited to see how effectively it keeps animals away from my fig tree. I just received it and was able to put it over the tree myself. The holes in the netting are quite small and I feel this will be more effective than the deer netting I used previously. The velcro opening is heavy duty and allows a large access area for picking fruit. I'm glad I tried this one.
