Although a bit on the expensive side, these solar lamps are awesome and have a great tiki-like LED flickering flame. They really set the mood and provide great ambience. They are dusk-to-dawn light sensitive and turn on once the ambient light is low enough, off once it gets bright in the morning. The only complaint I have is the plastic mounting poles/tubes break easily. Other than that, these are great LED lamps

Attempting to pound them into the ground without preparation will likely result in breakage.Height and FlexibilityOn a positive note, I appreciate the size of these torches. We honestly did not have high expectations for. This our primary instinct was how good can fake LEDs look to mimic a torch. However, we were really wrong. It's primary way is to attach it to pools and stick it in the ground. The polls were are made of plastic but thick enough to decently hold it straight. We have another pole solar light whose pole is so flimsy it constantly droops over. That is not the problem with this one. Thank goodness. It sits pretty high when fully installed. If I would have to guess I would say at least 4 ft from the ground. But until it's lighting effect which is why we love it so much. It really does have a nice glow and flicker to it. We are definitely going to order more. We are also looking for a different design holder to wall mount disc as well. I feel like it's a great bargain for two.

This torch solar light is really pretty and I love the flame light that it produces. Not really fond of the logo on it but the other side it just looks like Grill lines and that's much better. I like that you can have it at different heights I just have it at the first length that seem to be high enough for me. Very easy to put together . I love that the on-off button is not hidden. The only thing I would have preferred if it were made of metal however this plastic casing seems pretty durable for now.

These are extremely well-made and look very industrious like meaning that the flicker is really strong and they look like they’ll work for a very long time. We have about 20 of these all around the property, love them!
